    I have no idea why I mess with the double bass. I can't seem to find a comfort zone with spring tension and beater angle.

    I guess it's what you get from playing single bass for 54 years.

    Cool videos. For learning double bass, I would say try to play with spring tension as close to the factory settings as possible. The beater angle should be kind of neutral I guess. Just don't give up if it's important to you. Good luck.

    I an the same. The idea of double bass has never really appealled to me. One day I spent much time thinking upon this and suddenly it occured to me... I just love my hi hat too much!
