    Default screw thingy on the top of the cymbal?

    well i hope you know what im talking about when i say "screw thingy on the top of the cymbal." would i be better off loosening that screw almost all the way to get maximum preventation of cymbal crackage? lol used some of my own words there.

    Yeah, leave it loose, they are meant to be loose to a degree. I dont have them anymore, I have a Pearl WingLoc snap on and off system, it is much faster that the old wingnuts.. (screwy thingy on the top of the cymbal = wing nut)

    thank you! lol i didnt know what it was called, my cymbal has a crack in because mine was to tight, but it was just a stock cymbal, im buying some expensive cymbals in a few days though, i want to make sure they'll last a life time.

    I always keep mine loose so If I hit it a BIT to hard it won't "experience major crackage"

    Yeah it should be loose. The wing nut is really just to keep the cymbal on the stand I think. It SHOULD NOT be super tight.
