I downloaded the .gif to my computer then uploaded it in the avatar section in the control panel.

Yeah I made it in Paint. Cut the santa hat off something which I don't remember what it was and stuck it on top of a DW logo. Pretty painless.

Does that mean I just got a "gif" of the actual avatar? How can I obtain the animate version?

I'm also having trouble getting a .gif to work. It's only 16kb, and won't animate when I load it into my avatar...
