Oh, and yes I know you can tune any head low, but I stated that above in case there are heads out there that lend themselves to this type of tuning, better. Thanks.
It's time to replace the heads on my 3 toms. I've been using Evans G2 coated heads and like them fine. But, I was wondering if for my next set, there was something I should try to see if I liked them better. This will only be my second set of (well third if you count the junk that came on them) heads, so I want try something different.
My drums are 2011 Tama Imperialstars - made from Poplar. I play mostly Americana/Texas Country music. I like a lower, or deeper, sound on the toms vs. something high pitched.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
Randy

I have read that one of the characteristics of Aquarian drum heads is the ability of lower tuning... I don't have first hand knowledge. But I will probably give the Super 2's a try on my next head change.
