    did you know if u tape a penny on to your ride cymbal it will act as a sizzle kinda of sound? I havnt tried it yet but it sounds promising! if you guys try it out, tell me how it sounds.

    I heard if you did it on drums, it makes em click, kinda like how the drums were produced on ...And Justice For All by Metallica. But it wears the skins out like mad.
    Don't know about cymbals but I expect it could damage it somehow.

    I never tryed it with just one. I've used 4 or 5 when I did it. You can experiment.

    what you are thinking is the clicky kick sound right? from what i hear it was done by super gluing silver dollars (or quarters, i forget the story) to the kick beaters.

    for a good sizzle effect, i use an old dogtag chain and dangle it on the cymbal. im gonna buy a zildjian armand ride before too long tho.

    You can also drape a small chain over the bell and get a sizzle effect.

    You can also drill holes around the rim, put some rivets in the holes, and
    mash the ends so they don't fall out. LOL

    I have seen quite a few people tape a bottle cap to the beater also.

    even better.... Buy a sizzle cymbol :P They have heaps of small rings drilled into the edge of the cymbol all the way around. Ive seen them somewhere befor
