I wondered the same thing. Like using the Garage Band app...but I have no idea.

Well, I bought Garage Band for it and it works ok, I guess. Unfortunately there isn't a way, or I haven't figured out how anyways, to plug directly into the Ipad - like for a mic port. I was hoping the headphone port could be used as a mic jack by messing with the 'settings', but it doesn't appear that you can. So, you have to play everything out in the open, which doesn't work too well. Drums drown out the music too much.
So, I'm back to square one unless some of you techies have another idea.

Doesn't Blue make a microphone that plugs specifically into an iTouch/iPhone or iPad? I know there was a version discrepancy for a while - the version of the mic wasn't compatible with the newer versions of the Apple devices, but I would tend to think that would be fixed by now.
Your = possessive - your stuff, your dog, your car, etc
You're = you are - a contraction.
Learn it. Love it.
you can get a tascam interface for about £40 it that has a mic/di input on it that can then record into garageband. i use one with my iphone and it sounds great

get a usb mic, and call it done
if you ask a drummer what time it is?!? they're likely to respond with a time signature "oh, it's 4/4"....
Speaking of USB microphones - I have a Samson USB condenser microphone that rocks.
I have the Go Mic, but the G-Track looks pretty sweet.
My Go Mic on amazon was only $39. The Go-Track is upwards of $179.

Mackie are about to release something special for ipad ...16 inputs and 6 aux sends ...looks like a step in the right direction ..just the usual digital issues ..no harmonic distortion etc
its a good idea ..but we will have to wait see if it works well in the real world
