Diy "pedal-maracas"

Hi,
Just want to share my DIY Pedal-Maracas!I'm using recycle plywood for the Bracket.Spend very little $ just for the Bolt & Nuts,plus the cheap Maracas!
It's fun to play with the Cajon!!!

Yeah I've made one of these but it ain't as good. I just have a maraca taped onto my bass pedal beater. Facing me ofcourse so it doesn't hit the skin. Sounds great.

I'm interested in all your ideas. I have a gig now singing and playing guitar, while doing drums and percussion with my feet. So far, I have bass drum, snare, hat, jam block, and cowbell.

It's better to have a some kind of "Soft Bumper" at the front & back position.So that the Maracas don't just hit on the plywood!!! I'm using those Soft Sponge that they use it on Split unit Air-condition!! May be you can try!!!

Oh I see. So that top thingy is more or less a bracket to limit the travel of the maraca?

Ya....you're right! the top bracket plus the "sponge bumper" it's just to limit the maracas's forward & backward movement!! Since you want to DIY.May be you can make the Top Bracket a bit longer,So that You can add some tombourine's "Jingle" to create more sound!!!
