Talking ANOTHER "New Kit Ordered" Thread

As you may have seen the wait for Digital has begun, and it has finsihed for areFish. Congrats to both of you on your kits.

Now anyway I have now just recently ordered, a kit from DW, (well technicaly it's pdp) I decided its time to upgrade from the imperialstars. To pdp X7's. I'm not sure if it's what you call a major upgrade, but i decided to take the step from beginner to intermediate. I think I'll be happy with this kit....once it gets here. My local GC doesn't have it in stock, so they got get it ordered, they said the wait for now maybe from 4-10 weeks. So here we go!

    Pics Below........

I put a 17 in. crash in the aerial pic, cuz im not sure wheter i'm going to go with a 16 or 18 in crash yet

I've always wanted to buy one of these kits. I've heard awesome things about them. Very versatile and cheap for their price. Unfortunately I live in Australia and prices are through the roof. With the PDP X7 costing $2,000

Cool, good stuff Imperialstar15. PDP's are great sounding kits, a friend of mine was endorsing them for a period of time, and I got the chance to hear him play them, great great sound.

Hey, by the way, if you're upgrading from Imperialstars to PDP.....do we have to call you PDPstar15 from now on? Lol. J/k man.

Nice, dude. Looks sweet! I bet you're gonna have blast on that thing.

One thing though, did you check online to see if there was one at another G.C. ? That's what I did with my OCDP. There was one in Manhatten, New York. My guy down here in FL had it shipped to his store in under a week and I only had to pay like 15 to 20 bucks for shipping. Maybe there is still time for you to do something similar.

Either way, it'll be worth the wait, I'm sure.

I was thinking that you could do what Prince did and become the Drumchatter "formerlyknownasimperialstar15."

Congratulations on the new kit IS15, and I have no doubt you're going to love it! Besides, if it's coming from somewhere in Tennessee, it's going to be that much more special!

Good call on the X7s. I tried one out, but I wanted something other than a 22" bass drum, so I got DW Collector's instead (bit of a price jump there, but totally worth it). I'm guessing you are getting the red burst finish. Nice that DW is offering a lacquer finish and maple shells like that at such a price.
