Super stoked!

Well it's been a while since i told you guys you would hear the entirety of my band's track, Fate. I've probably been telling you guys this for probably about a year or so, right?

It's finally going to come to an END.

You're really going to hear it.

I've been working on drums for other songs and today I decided, you know, I should probably record Fate while it's still fresh in my head. So, i did, and i sent it away to my other band members, who are going to track over my drums, then send it back so I can mix it and make it sound nice, then I'm going to send it to another band member who's going to set it to a video to be placed on YouTube. If everything goes the way I want it to, it'll be done by next week. The reality is it'll probably take two weeks or so, since the guitarist who worked constantly also recently moved due to a court order (parents are divorced) so there's significantly less communication back and forth with him.

But we're stoked. Guitar, bass, drums, you'll hear it all. The only thing I'm not stoked about are my fills, which I improvised and aren't the greatest. But then again we didn't rent out a studio or anything, so there's not too much pressure on myself as a drummer, because I can go back and map put what I want to do.

All in all, this track's gonna be great. It's heavy, but not "heavy" like modern metal. It's not complex, at all. It's catchy, it's simple. It's to the point and it's probably going to make you think about why it sounds the way it does.

I think my New Year's resolution is going to come true, for once.

Also, on a side note:

I've been writing more songs. I'm currently writing two out on drums, one being Walk Away, and the other being a new one entitled Correlation. Hopefully in the near future you'll hear those too. You can expect around a 5 song album, which will be available on our Reverbnation for download once it is fully completed. Or should we do a song at a time and space it out? Either way it'll still be up eventually.

One of my guitarists and my bassist are recording their parts very soon, and I wrote lyrics, so maybe you'll even get vocals too :O

Thanks Matt! It's still a scratch track because the drums got messed up in audacity, so it speeds up and gets off sync at points but my band mates are going to work with the messup, so hopefully it'll still sound alright. The drum mix sounds great better than anything else I've ever posted,I think. The kick, especially. It's a little weak, but I haven't mixed the whole track yet.
