Try "Old Time Rock & Roll" from Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band
What are some Easy Classic Rock songs for fairly new drummers to learn?
I can really only play a few all the way through at the moment.
And parts of others.
Thanks

Agree...most of the Bob Seger tunes....Bad Company, Niel Young, Bob Dylan, etc
Or try some of the Foreigner tunes. Maybe a little KISS?
Welcome to Drum Chat Kevin! I see from your profile that you've already gone pro at 16. Congrats on your career!
chewgravel, if you like Neil Young, many of the drum parts of his songs are pretty straightforward. I would assume that it's because Neil Young's Classic Rock songs are guitar driven. You might also check out the Atlanta Rhythm Section, and of course AC/DC.

I started learning playing along to Honeymoon Suite's Racing After Midnight. Pretty good beats, easy to follow along, nothing too complicated.

Don't know why, but it seems the 60's, 70's, 80's rock was either extremely easy or insanely difficult....not much middle ground. Maybe it's just me. It's still my favorite music
AC/DC. Fun and easy to play.
I don't know, some of the 80's-90's rock had some of everything. Take the band Extreme for example. Some of their beats could be considered advanced, but a lot of their stuff was easy to mid-level drumming. Also a good band to practice along with. Their drumming became more complex though starting with their 4th album. Mike Mangini played on "Waiting for the Punchline".

I'd check out some AC/DC. Back In Black and Hell's Bells are some of the first songs I learned on drums.

-Bang the Drum All Day (Todd Rundgren)
-Just Like Heaven (Cure)
"I consider every drummer that ever played before me an influence, in every way." (Buddy Rich)

These are some that come to mind:
1. Dance Little Sister by the Rolling Stones
2. The Breakup Song by Greg Kihn
3. Rated X by Pat Benatar

Back in Black by AC/DC was the first song I learned to play on the drums. Very simple pattern and also very fun to play.

Sweet Home Alabama, and by proxy All Summer Long by Kid Rock. Lots of good suggestions so far and plent to choose from to get your feet wet.

Your = possessive - your stuff, your dog, your car, etc

No Fun by Iggy and the Stooges is a good repetitive drumming exercise to work on your timing and getting it to sound the same throughout the whole song. I use this to warm up to and to get my timing on sometimes. I used this vid cause it was the cleanest one on the Tube. It's a decent work out. Another good one is When the Levee Breaks by Zeppelin. It's actually a simple beat with singles on the hi hats and some fancy double hit bass pedal work. When you get it down it feels so good. Cheers.
