Hysteria - Muse - Drum Cover By Domenic Nardone

Here I am covering Hysteria by Muse! The more I listen to these guys the more I like 'em. I realized after uploading the song that I'm doing the fills before the chorus wrong. If anyone has any insight on how to do them correctly, I would greatly appreciate the feedback. Thanks!

Right or wrong, it fits. Good job. I just wouldn't break up the ride pattern. Instead, I'd continue to hit the snare with the left hand.

Great job man!!!

I dug the playing, the groove and the tasty transitions!

I have always wanted to do a cover of that song too... especially after watching Emmanuelle Caplette do a shorter version of the same song.

Not only a good song and rendition by you, but the video production was good too... the lighting through the toms, the multil-angle shots and the non-traditional foot cam angle. I enjoyed watching the video as much as listening to the audio.

This is the song that made me want to learn drums infact :D
I think someone already mentioned it, but I think Dom (I mean Dom in Muse, not yourself haha) plays the hi-hat and ride bit a little differently. Instead of taking your right hand off the ride you should keep the ride going and hit the snare with the left hand

Regarding the Tom bit before the chorus. I play SBBTBBSBBTBBSBT. Where S = Snare, B = Bass drum and T = Both toms simultaneously. I think it's all about getting the two bass drums hits in between each snare and tom hit.

Wow man you got an absolutely heart pounding sound out of your drums, very thick and meaty sound all across so great job on the mix. Great playing too!
