    Default Quick Sheet Music Question?

    Hey guys,

    Quick question, how are you meant to chart a cymbal swell?


    Aiden.

    My Kit:
    Mapex Horizon HZB in Transparrent Cherry.
    Consisting of 10" and 16" Toms.
    14" Snare and 22" Bass.
    Toms have Aquarian Perfomance II, snare has ambassador coated.

    Cymbal Array:
    14" Pearl CX-200 Hats.
    16" B8 Rock Crash.
    20" Paiste 400 Power Ride.
    10" Meinl MCS Splash.

    Write it as a cymbal roll for however many counts it needs to be. Add notation above it to show the increase and decrease in volume. "greater than and less than signs" . Hope that makes sense.

    I'd write it as a roll with cymbal notes, and also add crescendo to it a little as well.
