Ah, AD2022. Great transparent preamp. They use Cinemag transformers in their topology making for large amount of headroom and a super clean signal path. I would slap that on the overheads if it were me Keep the update coming.

how about some photos of the room you're recording in?!?

    and, a console shot!

    rock steady itchie

if you ask a drummer what time it is?!? they're likely to respond with a time signature "oh, it's 4/4"....

Hey itchie, since you are in Australia I would recommend a company over there. They are called Sebatron and they do high end all tube preamps. They are one of the best sounding pre's I have. Wicked fast transients and big full bottom end with all of the tube warmth. Very unusual for a tube preamp. I was just thinking about it when I was perusing the pics.

3 tracks done 9 to go .... Ended up switching to the aluminum snare for the heavier songs ....I like the 0 time constraint

its a nice zone to work in too

only issue is that i get to hear the songs only with a guitar track no vocals, no bass, no keys

so im in the dark alot of the time

I hear ya. My bro will send over a lot of stem tracks which are rhythm guitar, bass and click track. So there will be gaps and breaks which will be for vocals, and lead guitars but I don't know that and as drummer I want to fill it in with something or go a different direction. I will be on the phone a lot with him trying to figure out which way to go.
