The HHXplosions usually look like that. I don't think they lathe the bells on those, so the do have a more raw look on the bell.

According to the site, the hhxplosions should have a little bit of brown blackness mixed with the regular finish. Not completely brown/black like you might see on the x-treme, but accented and noticeable. It's a great sounding cymbal imo. Welcome to drumchat!

i was lucky enough to attend a sabian vault tour about 5 years ago, and, ive been a sabian guy ever since! it was put on by a local drumshop, in their parking lot, and they were making custom cymbals in realtime! fresh pies.....
i may be picking up an 18" omni crash/ride today, to go along with my 22" omni, am i off topic?!?
