    Default Dream kit Spex

If you could have any kit in the world..what sizes would your drums and cymbals be? N what kind of finish would ya get? I actually think it would be sweet to have off sizes..as follows.

    Drums:

    Rax - 9x9, 11x11, 13x13
    Flors - 15x15, 17x17
    Bas - 25x18 and 27x18
    Bas Wufrs - 25x8 and 27x8

Finish: Dark purple - Natural Fade over Exotic Olive Ash Burl Veneer

    Cymbals:
    A custom Hatz - 15in thin
    A custom Splasch - 10in medium thin
A custom Crasch - 16in medium thin, 17 in medium, 18in medium, 19 in medium heavy
    K custom ride - 24in K light

my dream kit would be pearl masterworks. in trans black over bubbinga or tamo ash with standard masters hardware (satin finish).
    8x7-6 ply all birch
    10x8-3ply birch/3ply maple
    12x9-2ply birch 4 ply maple
    14x14 floor-2 ply maple/4 ply mahogany
    15x15 floor-2 ply maple/4 ply mahogany
    16x16 floor-2 ply maple 4 mahogany
    2 22x20 kick 4 ply birch/ 6 ply mahogany
    this color

The mahagony wood would bring out the lower tones in the floor toms and kick, while the birch would bring out the high tones of the rack toms. Good job, Funky!

What would your choice of snare be? Free floater?

i'm pretty in love with the snares i have right now. i think the next might be a 7x14 20 ply reference, or a custom 14x8 solid maple shell or stave shell purple heart treehouse snare.

    it's really just a fusion of 2 pro drummer's kit's
dave lombardo's and the rev's mixed in with a little of my own taste
as in the floor toms, snare and gong bass.

dude i've played almost every type of tama drum with the exception of the starclassic mirage. (acrylic set) and by far the star classic bubinga's sound godlike. although check out the performer's and maple's first. they have some very good sound quality.

I actually have all I want right now. I might try to look into different types of wood and building techniques. i.e mahogony or stave kits. but I'm not sure ill even like the sound.

It's not even about not complaining. I don't want anything other than I have right now. I have my "dream kit." It's a great feeling.
