Really Cool!
all the best...
I was having so much fun on my 4 piece Sonor It inspired me to tear my big kit apart and set it up as a single kick kit. I've gone back to a Neil Peart type set up. For the small amount of double kick work I'm doing now a double pedal will do just fine. I set the remainder of the kit up as a 4 piece replacing the Sonor kit. The PDP maple shells sound much better then the Sonor Basswood.
So now I've got the best of both worlds a small 4 piece and a larger kit as well, both side by side. I still need to pick up a ride cymbal for the 4 piece though. It's a bit hard to get good pic's in my basement as the ceiling is a bit low.

That is totally awesome! Love your pictures.
How fun. Having a small kit around is a great way to stretch the imagination. Love the finish, too.

I can't get used to the double pedal so I added the second kick back. I'm using my Sonor kit now for the 4 piece.
I like it as the one giant set better, but breaking them off can have other advantages. Like if you need two drummers for a song, drum battles, or instructing..

Once again I've made a few changes. I like this set up because the foundation is your basic 5 piece Bonham type set up. I've got the kick, snare , 12" rack tom, 14" & 16" floor toms set up just as I would and if that was all I had. Then I built on from there. As I said I've never been a fan of a double pedal so the second kick get put back in. Then there's the high toms 10" and two 8".
The changes I made this time are, I moved the 16" floor tom I had to my left up onto the rack. Then I was able to add the 12" mini timbale just below it.
I've got another idea for a really huge set up I may do in the future, which will consist of two complete X7 kits. For now I'm having fun with this set up. But I'm sure I'll get bored eventually. lol
