    Default Bass pedal sound

a few weeks ago I was very very happy, I moved the beater about 2 inchs higher on the bass drum skin so it was hitting the middle of the drum and it made the best sound!!! only problem, I cant do heal toe now because the pedal is top heavy, the only way i can do it now is if i put my foot at the very top of the pedal, but then my toes get caught in the chain and it hurts! help?

Hmmm. I think tou may need to relax more. the tenser you are the further up your pedal you need to go.

Can you change the angle of the beater? maybe angle forward a little more so it doesn't recoil back as far. This may ease the workload on your foot.

Oh and what vinny said too. Relax. That's good advice for any technique.

well now also since i moved the beater farther up the skin, im starting to use the back of the pedal more because i seem to get faster hits in that way, i guess its my new sweet spot so to speak, ill try moving the distance from the beater to the skin a bit less
