    Default getting ready for tryouts

    So I am trying out on tenors at school. I am normally a snare player but want to play tenors this year. can anyone recommend some exercises to get me up to speed with tenors. I have three weeks till tryouts and I really need to work on sticking my diddles. any recommendations?
    zebra wrapped gretsch catalina club mod:
    12" tom
    16" floor tom
    14" snare
    22x20 kick

    Cymbals:
    17" saluda mist x crash
    20" saluda decadence ride
    14" Saluda mist x hats
    16" dream bliss crash
    10" wuhan splash (modified via salt water)

    Check out Quad Logic by Bill Bachman. That book is every quad player's bible, and it has helped me immensely.

    Quad logic is where it's at. I'd also heavily suggest Nick Werth's website if you are more advanced. Anything you can find on youtube by Bill Bachman will help a lot. Just focus on the basics and make sure your left hand looks as natural as your right, especially if you are used to snare.
