Everyone knows about the classic books: Stick Control, Master Studies, ect. They all have hundreds of standard exercises that you can customize for different types of practice, or you can play them straight forward on the snare. But what are some books out there that go out of the box and provide you with exercises that you wouldn't find in your average drum book?

imo , books such as syncopations , stick control , etc , were designed for you to decide what you're going to do with them , for the student to look beyond purely what is written , for the student to think outside the box . with imagination , the possibilities contained within these classic texts really should be endless. perhaps it might be worth starting an individual thread, for posters to list their own ideas on such books. perhaps we might all find it rewarding - it might reveal exercises others would never have thought of.
