Cant waitttt! Ahhhhhh!!

Well, I know a lot of you have seen my previous posts over the past few months stating how I wanted to get a new kit. Well.... The day has finally come.

About 4 days ago, my Mother suggested that I pick what I want for my High School Graduation gift. She said to try to keep it around 1,000 or lower if I can.
She wanted to get me a laptop like she got my brother for his a few years back, but I already bought my own for 950. She suggested a new drumset, since i was ALWAYS talking about it.

The next day we ordered my new Gretsch Catalina Maples. I wanted Mocha Fade, but the distributor said that Gretsch doesn't really make that finish any more. So I decided on Dark Cherry burst. I will post pics of the actual kit when it arrives. (its supposed to get here tomorrow! I HOPE!)

I can partly thank Pastor Bob for the gretsch cat purchase. He gave me a very heartfelt story as to his reasoning on it. And it pretty much sold me. thanks PB

Is it in that three rack tom configuration? Nice looking colour, sort of reminds me of a Yamaha finish somewhat. Congrats on the new purchase.

Yep, its 8/10/12/14/16 with 14 snare and 22 bass! IM PUMPED! However, i talked the guy into getting me the base of a cymbal stand for free, so i could mount the 10/12 toms in it and have a free bass! COOL DEAL :P so excited!

pics dont do justice for the cherry burst finish, i have a Cat Maple snare in the same finish and it is drop dead gorgeous!!
