Default New addition to drum room.

I added some tunes to the drum/son's room.
Now I can practice to music again, on tape, CD, or the radio.

I hooked up the mixer so the keyboard, CD, Tape can all run through the amp..

    Channel 1 Tape
    Channel 2 CD/MP3
    Channel 3 Keyboard
Channel 4 (empty for now) May be my buddy can plug his guitar amp in?
Plus 2 mics! (Not that I can sing)

It's hooked up to a 200 watt amp, and I'm using some 3-way Technics with 15" woofers.

Very nice, XJ! Any chance you could record through your mics? Might give you a chance to listen to your drumming.

I tried a little recording, but think I need some better mics.

Do you have to mic every drum individually, or can I use 2 mics to record the whole set?? What mics would be good for this? Thanks!

Well, ideally, you should mic each drum, and there is are drum mic packages that have specific mics for the various drums and cymbals. What I was thinking of was more of a generic recording that could help you hear how even you played, etc. That's what I would like to do, at the moment.

Frankly, I think I'd be scared to mic my drum individually. I might just hear how bad I really play! After all, I am still a beginner . . . but I am getting better . . . really!

i think you could get by with 3 mics right now. people would be surprised what kind of recording you can get with just a kick mic and 2 overhead condensors.

It's cool, now I can play along with my Hard Rock CD. (Vol. 3)

It plays the original song minus the singing, then plays the same song with out the singing and the drums! (pretty cool)

    Way to go, bro'!

A lot better than a transistor radio or a cassette player, XJ!

Can't wait to hear some of those recordings!
