I've played a few Ddrum kits and nothing really impressed me. I've also heard a few issues with hardware failing.
I was looking for a Ddrum kit, a reflex kit!
But what about this company, had the same quality than other companys more famous (Pearl, Tama, Ludwig...)
And what about his drums, what is the best sounding drum of ddrums, have you ever tried them!
Thanks!!![]()

Eh, I've got a Dios Duplex maple snare 20 ply chambered snare. It's a good snare. It developed a small bit of ply seperation on the inside ply of the bearing edge. Fortunately it wasn't in the area where the head meets drum, or I'd have been ticked off. Bought it used though, and compared to their new price it was a steal. No problems with the hardware at all for me, I'm glad to say.
I've heard QC is a problem with DDrum, but they do legitimately sound like a good solid set of drums.
The only two constants I have are DW and Zildjian.
i own a Ddrum dominion ash set. It sounds awesome! I haven't had any problems with it yet(owned it 4 months). Good solid kit for the price.

I had always thought that DDrum was one of the lower-quality companies due to reviews I had read, but I've started to see them show up on some professional stages! The drummer from a band that i've been a fan of since I was in high school, Relient K, now uses DDrum kits. I've always respected that drummer so they must be better than I thought!

The reflexes are actually pretty good sounding I thought, they have this naturally EQ'd tone and sounded fire when recorded. The Dios maple sounds awesome too, but I have heard a couple tales of lug troubles. I like the reflexes, they seem like a solid deal for the under $1000 price range. I think Ddrum has really cleaned up their act over the years, i've seen their QC go from bad to good and as long as I could hit em up if something were to ever break, i'd give them a go. I always thought of them as a sort of poor man's Tama- using cast hoops and exotic woods like walnut/bubinga/bamboo/aspen. They've come out with some great lines, imo. They just need to keep them around, and stay good with the quality control.
