Cool BC! I've never played them personally, but I've heard people talk about how fun they are to play. BTW, I never thought about using brushes on a traditional hand drum.

They sound soft and play well with light worship music bob. The brushes are a nice tool that can be used with Cajons easily.

I'm not great at descibing sound but the Hydraulic head gives less overtones and gives my Steel snare a bit more of a wooden snare sound. When tuned a bit lower than I now have it, it sounds like the snare in the song Radar Love by Golden Earring. Not the best explanation but thats the best I can do.

It took about 6 months to put this together. I bought the DW's used from a neighbor last year in July. The 18" x 16" floor tom is actually a Pearl Retrospex but mixes well with the DW's soundwise.

My brother assembled this for me while I was away on holiday. It's a intermediate level Ludwig, as after years without playing and selling my higher end Gretsches and DW's after living in an apartment, I didn't want to spend too much money when I came back to a house. He used the stock heads in this photo, but when I get my digital camera repaired I will have to take a more recent pictures as you can see he mounted the toms and bass drum slightly wonky and unlevel, but he's not a drummer so he can be excused lol. Hope you like anyway- My current set up (Different to picture)

Thanks Pastor Bob. It is in black but it wasn't taken on a good camera (A Sony Handycam) as my digital camera is getting repaired under warranty. Will have to take a newer picture thanks!
