I didn't catch that either, I read it spare stand, I guess in my mind he would not hang it from a snare stand, so my mind read it so that it made since to me.

BWard, that is a really nice looking kit!

Imrussman, your son's kit is amazing! I counted 12 drums with the 2 e-pads, and 12 cymbals including the 2 sets of hi-hats! How long has he been playing now?

He has been playing for two years now. I find that simply taking your kid to a teacher and expect him to practice "correctly" at home then you are wasting your kids time and your money. I supervise every beat he plays. At least one hour every night. I can't play myself, but I know what he is supposed to be doing. He is a true blue metal head. You can see some of his videos on youtube if you search "imrussman". Yes, he loves those Axis pedals.

Thanks, he works very hard. I truly believe that dropping your kid off at some instructors house then telling them to practice on their own is a waste of money and time. He does not get 1 BEAT of unsupervised instruction or practice. I don't play the drums but I know if it's right or not because I was at practice with him. Plus, he and I really have a good time for about two hours every night. The song "ONE" was his brother, Michael's, favorite song.
Michael was 12 when he died about 18 months ago. The guitars on the walls were all his including the "B.C. Rich Warlock" that is buried with him.
Houston really wanted to get that song right for Michael.
Sorry for the sad story but I wanted you guys to know what motivated Houston.
