OK, I promised to post pics of the new kit. So for all you Gretsch heads here you go. It's a Catalina maple sizes 10, 12, 14, 16 toms 22 bass. I have an old aluminum luddy snare on the kit in the pictures (I finally blew out the stock head on the maple snare). I haven't put all of my cymbals up yet as I'm having too much fun with this setup.

It sure is great having all that gear but it sure can be a pain organizing it all into a comfortable set-up.

    Well Done

Nice setup. I recently started putting up a 6 piece in this configuration (Weckl style) and it is really easy to get to everything.

BTW - is your band called The Ohms?

hey wats up everyone? that is one sweet lookin gretcsh kit above me! wow! my next kit is gonna be a maple kit. thnkin starclassics but not sure if they come in maple. hmm. ok two quick things!

1: looking for a iron cobra (not the junior) double pedal. Im willing to spend 150 but will pay more if need to

2: having some troubles tuning my base drum on the gretsch. its bitgger than usual so im not too familiar with tunig for this size. i slapped a superkick II on it and i get a nice sound out of it but its a bit resonant and wierd. idk if thats how its supposed to sound..any tips/ideas/help would be greatly appreciated!

Nice kit and cymbal. I'm a pearl/paiste user too! I started with PST3 series about a year and a half ago. Pretty good entry level cymbals, they last long too.

Shane, man I have a 7 piece pearl set 3 up and two down. My wife bought this new one for Christmas.....The deal was I couldn't play it until after christmas. I had alot of time to think of how I wanted to set it up. I never used my third tom so it was easy to set it up the way I did. Thanks Bro on the setup!!!!

Nice set up. Is that Black finish a wrap or laquer paint? Either way it's a great looking set.

One question. Does that splash curve upwards from the bell to the outer edge?

    Cheers,
    John
