SWEET MONKEYS!!!!! dang wotto, that is well put together. i love the cymbal positioning. my only issue is the EC heads. IMO, reference sound beautiful with 1 ply coated. i have never heard em with anything but those, however they sounded so perfect i dont think anything else could sound better. i know you are giving them lots of love and are having fun with them, keep it up.

Hey PB- no it is the 'factory finish'- it is called Crystal Rain.

Hey, Kiwi, I don't like playing bongos with sticks, but you might try using mallets if you want to do a stick roll...don't know how adept you are at switchin' from sticks to mallets, but it's probably easier on the bearing edges and the skins than ordinary sticks...

I've cut the rack "towers" down a lot, put cymbals holers on the ends so all of my cymbals are rack mounted now. I also have Paiste cymbals now. Eventually, everything will be rack mounted except for the seat. Cymbal mouting is completely different and I added a 10" splash.

I want (need) to rethink the tom mounting and move the ride up further to the front.

I made the hihat mounting with a remote Yamaha so that I could get it in nice and tight and put the pedal where ever I wanted with absolutely no interference.

The drums are all original, but the rack is cobbled together with used e-bay parts and other stuff I threw together.

The snare is a solid brass Ludwig, I switched up for a Pearl Maching snare (experimentation) that was recovered black to match, but ultimately I think I've decided to use a Dynasonic that I have stored away.

Once everything is place, I need to polish out the aluminum tubing. The roughness of it now prevents the clamps from slipping. I don't know if I can ever say it's "done" though.

    Definitely a work in progress..

    Pete
Psycho, welcome aboard and I agree, it may be a work in progress, but most dudes I know never get it "done!" Looks killer, bro'!
