tx! I don't know if I worked it out or if a moderator is fixing everything behind me, but at least they're showing up! Not sure who to thank though...

My band was pursuing a very low stage-volume at the time I joined, and the E-kit made so many things convenient and self-contained. Also, we were playing 4 hr shows with some of our fav homage songs thrown in (Yes, Rush, King Crimson, Bjork, Zep, etc) and the E's made it easy to have a different kit per song.

Eventually we whittled things down a bit (set, setup, etc) and I gradually let the kit evolve into a hybrid as I brought more acoustic elements back in.
Now I'm down to a core acoustic kit with a few triggers or pads here and there and a keyboard/laptop setup on my left.

Xush, I would think that the credit would good to either su_admin (the adminstrator of the site), or Drummer, the suppermoderator.

I'll certainly say that you really seem to know what you're doing when you put a kit together!

Thanks for the compliments on the kit. I got a pretty good deal on the GMS cause I actually drove to their shop in long island and bought it directly from them. paid cash and avoided taxes (oops, hope the IRS aint listening). GMS can finish drums with the best of them, but my kit is basically just sanded and oiled, which also kept the price down. However, because of their finish or lack of one, I hesitate to bring them on gigs with my bar band. So that gave me an excuse to purchase the Gretsch kit (See photo several posts back).

It took a few years and spent bunch of money I didnt have on it, but it sounds great and is alot of fun to play.

With more money I dont have I'm thinking about having GMS staining them a really dark brown almost black. I think this would make the gold lugs really stand out. Then I'd like to get wood hoops and leave them unstained just the basic maple color.
