Does anyone remember Grape Ape? I would guess this is what his kit would look like. Not making fun of the kit - I really do like it. That's just the association that popped into my head.

Those are my favorite Saturns. Nice choice.
    Proudly playing:
    Doc Sweeney Drums
    A bunch of snares
    A bunch of cymbals

    Off-Set double pedals

I think I love to play the drums simply because you get to hit 'em!!!

I figured since everyone's posting all these awesome & beautiful kits, I'll balance out the thread and post up a few pics of my $100 CL score. Finally got to use my Sound Percussion "street bop" kit for the first gig. I gotta say, these things rock. I love 'em. Wish they were a little more "flashy", but it is what it is.

Are you kid'in! I think they look great! I love my Sonor Safaris. Those kits do a lot and they are compact! That looks like a great deal too! I'm 63 myself and loading and unloading is no fun anymore. They look just fine! I bet they sound good too!

They're perfect for gigging in small venues and bars. Been using my home-made jungle kit (8/13/16) for the last year. This kit works even better. The 10" Tom has better projection than the 8", plus it sounds more like a tom and less like a bongo. The 18" bass does much better than the 16" floor Tom conversion. Sounds like a real bass drum without needing a mic. It's heavier, so it doesn't move around as much when I'm playing. It's also easier to set up, because it doesn't require a riser and has attached folding spurs. Even being slightly bigger & heavier, it's still very compact. It also sounds more like a full size kit. IMO, the perfect size.

I'm just not a big fan of the silver. We'll see how it looks under the lights on a real stage. I love the blue or gold sparkle on the Sonor Martini and Safari kits. I suspect I may end up re-wrapping this kit.
