Hold COW I can finally make a POST! Bout damn time!!
Welcome to Drum Chat drumgod.
You'll find that the folks here make the wait worthwhile. I have been told that the administration has to process hundreds of hundreds of requests for membership each day. As you can imagine, it wouldn't take much of a problem to create a backlog that would significantly extend the waiting time. Most of us experienced a waiting time, too.
Again, welcome.

Digital, you pulled the trigger on the Radial Pro's. They look to be in great shape.
SOUND: Peavey Radial Pro vs. DW Performance Series...what's your take?
The DWPS has a much lower note overall, a bit more controlled as well since it doesn't resonate quite as much as the Peavey. The Radials sound like each tom is one size smaller than my DW (i.e. the Peavey 10" sounds like the 8" on my DW). Both kits being maple, the sound is somewhat similar I'd say.
I like what I hear on both kits, and through the mics they both sound great. The Peavey would make an excellent primary kit so to have it as a gig kit makes it that much sweeter. I won't have to settle just because it's more affordable.

I love your kit! I own the same set, only in red and black. I bought I from a guy off of Craigslist for 250 and is immaculent condition. The guy needed that last 250 to place his order for a new custom set, so he was eager to let it go quick. Just my lucky day, because these drums sound big and fat and I love them. I also have them tuned down a bit for rock, and the kick is a cannon! I don't have a port hole in my kick so it's tedious to get it sounding right but after much trial and error I found the sweet spot and it thumps my little house when I play! Hopefully I can get some pictures up soon when I figure out how.
Love my Gretsch sound!

Love my Gretsch sound!
I loved those stripped looks from Gretsch in the Catalina line. The mahogany they used sounds great on the kick and toms.
I like it as well, I've never been a big fan of "flashy finishes" on kits, but the black hardware and offset lug pattern appealed to my eye, and accented the stripping well, and under stage lights the red is beautiful... plus it was a good price. The mahogany does sound very good, very deep, fat and punchy when tuned down, much different than my Birch set up.
Love my Gretsch sound!
