I don't have this one yet but will be buying it next month. It's a Pearl SMX Session Maple kit with a Marine Blue Fade. It's suhweet! Can't wait.

I think the drummer should sit back there and play some drums, and never mind about the tunes. Just get up there and wail behind whoever is sitting up there playing the solo. And this is what is lacking, definitely lacking in music today. - Buddy Rich

Hey guys & gals, picked up a used set of Pearl Visions in Strata Black. My Custom Classics are at Church and appear that they may be there for a while which means I get to play so, I used that for an excuse to pick up another set for the house. Found these of CL and jumped on them. They sound great and are like new. The hardware is not the best except for the hi hat stand which is a new Yamaha. Anyhow, heres a few pics.

Thanks for sharing your pic. I like looking at this thread from time to time but what caught my eye was your signature. After years of playing in various bands and various venues and atmospheres I took a break from playing with bands and two years after my break I started playing for my Church and have been playing there for 9 years (contemporary Christian Rock; Hillsong, Lincoln Brewster, Planet Shakers, Chris Tomlin, etc.) It has brought me more joy and satisfaction than any other band I have been in. Just felt compelled to share that and say I like your signature.

I can't get my pics up here. They're too big (115kb - 168kb). I have them at "photobucket", but I'm still having trouble. Can anyone explain the steps to me?

FINALLY pics of my kit. Keep in mind that the set is from the mid 1980's... the heads look beat up, but it still sounds good. I don't have stands for the 12 & 14" chinas yet, so they're not in the pics.
The clearance between all of the pieces are MUCH closer then they look. (1/4 - 1/2" between all of the cymbals and between the cymbals and the toms.)
Hope you like it. Let me know what you think.

12 piece kit: Slingerland 7 piece (12", 13", 14", 15" concert toms, 16" floor tom, 5 1/2 x 14" metal snare), Remo Roto-toms (6", 6", 8", 10"), Tama Camco double bass pedal, Cymbals: Sabian 14" AA Sizzle hats, Paiste 2000 8" splash, old "Paiste Ludwig standard" 14" crash, Paiste 404 16" crash, Paiste 404 20" ride, Paiste 3000 16" china, Lyon 12" china, Lyon 14" china, Percussion: LP ice bell, LP cowbell, sleigh bells, LP tamborine, OM chimes, Remo 10" Spoke.

Awesome dude. Tell me you have bottom heads on them now (nudge, nudge). Cool color. Every drummers dream to be surrounded like that with that many drums. Is this the kit you take to gigs?

Yea. I haven't played out in a long time, but yea. If you look, the sets hardware is all double-braced legs. (Except for a cheap stand for the 14" crash). I got the Slingerland 7 pieces with all the Slingerland hardware and the two Paiste 404 cymbals in 1986 - used - for $450. Not too bad...

Does that bass drum pedal work for you? It looks weird.
