Here is my baby,Mapex Pro M studio and my vintage snares :1968 Yamaha 14" by 5" steel and my pride and joy 1965 Ludwig maple which I just refinished last month.It has such a beautiful sound!
I've included a before and after pic of the Ludwig.Hope ya like em!!

Bif, I like that blue to white fade on the Pro M's, and the restoration job on the Ludwig snare came out beautiful! As to the stell snare, is that a Yamaha, or a Mapex?

Very good eye Bob.....It is indeed a Yamaha snare but I had removed the internal muffler and to cover the hole that was left I used a Mapex badge that I had laying around.Thank you also for your kind words on the Ludwig,I'm pretty proud of how it turned out.

I just found out there was about 4 pages of drum pictures I'd missed and for those that I didn't comment on, I'm sorry. I guess the photos took a bit to load and I just breezed through missing a bunch of kits.

Wow! The Three Huggers would definetely be happy with this one!

I think posting this snare is a good reminder to keep in mind other 'greener' options when buying shells! I did a quick search and apparently Yamaha and Ddrum also have bamboo snares.
