What's going on with that pedal Mick? It looks from the pic like the beaters are tilting forward....I keep looking at it and trying to figure out if there's some trick of perspective but it looks like it is somehow set up wrong.

But UL doesn't allow those temps.
I've wondered why no one has tried polycarbonate or PET drum shells. These are more expensive matl's but PC is extremely hard/tough (ie bulletproof windows and ****pit canopies) and has more resonant properties. PET at shell thickness would be an interesting experiment. Again very expensive but when processed properly (difficult!) it would be very hard and I think may have good accoustic response. I'd go woth PC which is a beautifull resin which takes colors exquisitely. You could even swirl them.

They do, however, scratch of course, and show it.
Thanks for this information. Love insight from someone in the field.
    Proudly playing:
    Doc Sweeney Drums
    A bunch of snares
    A bunch of cymbals

    Off-Set double pedals

I think I love to play the drums simply because you get to hit 'em!!!

    Great drums for great prices.
With a Dualist, no less! I have never had a chance to try one. Do you love it?

Is that an 18" kick? That is a very classy looking kit, my friend. Congratulations.

OK....now two pedal questions guys...1st, aren't the beaters on the Drumcraft double pedal angled the wrong way? As in leaning into where the head would be?

And 2nd, how does the Dualist work? Is it one beater on the toe down stroke and the other beater on the heel down, or reverse. stroke?

1st yeah dont think thats been setup right cause they are just like regular pedals

2nd yes the dulest works by having the opposing force of the downbeat from the foot pedal

Not sure what it takes to get a thread "stickied". Saluda cymbal thread has over 13,000 views and more replies than some other "stickied" threads and still not stickied. Don't understand.

inthpkpllayer, I believe a Moderator has to sticky a thread, Ask Pastorbob or Drummer to do it I'm sure they'd be kind enough and sticky it for you

I asked for a sticky straight up cause I knew this was going to be a big brand in the future ...if you just played the drums you would understand they are going to shake things up for the better, good luck to the other brands trying to keeping up with this momentum.

Guys, it isn't the amount of views a thread gets to make it a sticky. It usually has to do with how popular something is in comparison to other top brands. Also, we were getting too many stickies and people were complaining so we've cut back. Sorry but we can never please everyone. There are simply too many brands to sticky everything and people have their individual favorites.

Because then people would want a China sticky, South American sticky, Canada sticky, Africa sticky and so on. Like I said, there's no way to please everyone.
