The GAS bug has bit in a big way this time. I'd been toying with the idea all summer and one came off the show room and jumped in my garage today.

wow beautiful .. Harley should hire you to do their pictures. nothing on the website or the brochure does that Big Blue Pearl Flame paint job justice .. that is gorgeous. Ive been shopping. and up until a couple hours ago I thought I wanted an iron 883. but after sitting on a few in the showroom it looks Like im not getting away so cheap. nothing else felt as good as the fat bob.

I looked at the bobs, too. VERY nice!!! That was my second choice.

Even the 1200 Sporty is an interesting animal this year.

This was also the first time I'd ever had a bike tug at my shirt tail when innocently walking past.

Thanks! The paint job was the trigger. I had to have it. It matches my TAMA SCs perfectly and is close to my Renowns. Not that I like blue or anything.

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot. Since posting those first pictures the bike now has more than 50 miles on it. I had a very nice "outside" day. hehe.

Tomorrow will be more of the same...

LOL When I first saw the bike, I was thinking you could park it right by the Renowns and Starclassics! Now don't get me wrong, 'cuz it's a beautiful Harley, but personally, I'd have gone for the . . . Bob. Just sayin'.

Well, I suppose if you've never had the experience you probably could confuse the two.

I've had the big bikes. This is more the fun toy. My first Harley was:

For around town this new one will work just fine.

I don't know about small but by far it's not the biggest bike they make. It is the most agile and fun to ride due to the powerful motor and light weight frame. It gets you there and back efficiently and fun.

I have yet to mod it. The only add-on so far was the removable windshield. I'm going to leave it stock for now, except for some louder pipes.

I decked out my touring bike back in the day and Harley's are the best for modifications. They know they got you, then.

Yeah, I hear you. I almost bought another touring bike but don't think I'll be touring much. I did that 10 years ago. This is just something for around town and back and forth to work.

Totally. I'd forgotten how much more you are in tune with your surroundings on a bike. You can smell the fresh bread from Panera bread and the fumes from each gas station as you pass.

Even the smell from cigarettes as you follow a smoker.
