Default Using Roland TD-15 with MIDI

Alright, so I'm a total newb when it comes to MIDI, so I'm gonna need some help here.

Basically, my problem is this: I'm using a Macbook Pro with Mountain Lion, and I want to record my TD-15 with Pro Tools. I know Pro Tools supports MIDI, but the problem is I'm not entirely sure how I need to hook up my kit so that the MIDI works. I've got a MIDI to USB cable, but apparently, it doesn't seem to do the trick. The driver for the TD-15 is on the mac.

Am I doing something wrong? Is this even possible? Are there other components I'm gonna need?

Sorry for the late reply on this, Russ.

Yes, I do have fully functioning USB drivers for this.

In fact, I know they work with the drums, because I accidentally found out that it was a ton easier to do this on a trial version of Audition. It recorded not only my performance, but also the song I was playing to.
