    Default Drum Room Update

Well I finally have all four kits up at once. I found the Gretsch painting at a local Wine Bar and talked the owner into selling it. Had not seen a drum painting before and with the subject I just had to have it. It is titled "Ode to Chick" in honor to Chick Webb the Grand Daddy of Jazz/Swing drummers.

You know SL, it all comes down to mood. I have the kits tuned differently with different with types of heads and I usually have a tune in my head when I walk downstairs.

If I am working on Jazz Groves I will switch back and forth on the NCs, and I spend alot of time on the Renowns working Classic Rock and Pop.

Really, they all work great and it comes down to the feel.

I'd go right to that baby blue Gretsch or the Noble & Cooley....lol. Nice, I have a room like that. Supplying all the cymbals, let alone the kits, is a fortune.

Thanks Wolvie, I do have an "Ins Rider" for the Kits and everything that goes with them.

Like Olimpass stated, the Cymbals and hardware are worth nearly as much as the Kits themselves. I have a bad desease, just ordered the 14" matching Floor Tom for the 57's. I am still looking for a Bubinga Snare. Lucky for me the Wife loves Jazz/Blues as much as I do.

Ha..............oh, wow that reminds me so much of my time in music school when I shared a house with two other percussion students and in the big family room, we all had kits set up.

One guy had a 70s vintage double-bass set of Ludwigs.
The other guy had a 60s vintage Ludwig set right out of the Beatles photos.............just like Ringo's black oyster pearls.

And I, of course, was the class of the room with my Gretsch USA Customs.................oh, yeah.

It was a very cool room with a pair of big PA Speakers also in there attached to a tape machine...............and it could CRANK !!!

    Cool room, STACK..............beautiful drums.

Looks very nice. I wouldn't record in there til most everything not being used is moved out, but I am a tad paranoid about things. Perfect practice room I think, lovely artwork around the walls. I like how it's set up - you could teach drum classes in there to a group of students of you wanted. Great stuff!

Gorgeous drum room. I have something similar in mind with my basement; having 2-3 kits plus guitars, basses, amps, etc.

The painting is a really nice touch. Definitely a keeper.

I have seen the "Ode To Chick" 40"x40" canvas go for $149.00. It certainly is a nice piece.

Don't get me wrong, your drums are very nice!! But that piece just adds so much.

I would like to thank everyone for the kind comments on my Drum Room, it is a great thing to have a wife who supports my addiction. She is getting me the matching 14" floor Tom to complete my Gretsch 57 kit. How lucky I am.
