nice!
I brought one!!! Woops :p. i must say straight out the box this thing is amaizing. It took a couple of hours to set up though. And its big and heavy so going to be annoying to gig with etc but its more than i wanted. I brought it without playing one so that was a gamble.
Now i just need to spend the next month or two fiddleing with settings and getting it sweet.
Anyone know about travel cases for e kits?

nice!
You will be set with 3x 12", 2x 10", 1x 14" drum cases(possibly a deeper custom made 14" if you can't remove pedal from the kd-140) and using a big hardware case(possibly two) for the rest. Due to the weight, I would recommend getting hard cases with cushions, don't settle for less. Some real high quality gear, i'd go the extra mile to protect it without a question. May also want to have a dolley on hand for quicker transport between gig and your automobile. Congrats on your purchase!

just get a 14" snare case and put them all in there
The bass drum is huge. I was thinking about hitting up the local hardwear store or ebay for padded hardcases ad a fold away trolley. Really dont want to travel this baby before she is protected. Anyone know of custom wraps for the new td?

Nice kit! I played one at the store and it has some nice tweaks that my TD-20 expanded module is lacking.
I do like the more rugged bass drum though. Mine shakes and tends to move away from me during high speed double-pedal action.

Congrats on the new kit. I wouldn't sell your acoustics, you never know when you may need one.
If you can afford to keep both, don't sell it. I love both my kits. They each have something the other kit can't offer.
The ekit is perfect for quiet practices, recording quick demos and youtube videos. It's more work recording an acoustic and they're very loud but the sound is far superior and you can't beat their stage presence.

Give it time. You'll notice the differences in what you can do with an electronic vs an acoustic. They are both great for different reasons entirely.

acoustic is sexy, electric is geeky, what you think the girls would like?
Combine em and go 360 like Peart?

Hm i kinda agree. But i dont play anywhere where i can use my acoustic anyway its always too loud or there is a backline kit. And these kits really do replace acoustic ones. I cant fault it yet. Soon as i get the settings right im sure it will be perfect.
Ps itchie. Im engaged. Not to fussed about image :p
