    which way do you guys tint your snares? mines tinted in, like buddy richs

    tilted about 30 degrees with the lower side to my left; works for me...

    wow, thats a weird set up, but Iv noticed whatever i change me snare to, I always get used to it because my hands just audomaticly move in the right spot eventually.

    I slant my twords me, a lot, like, not sideways, but pretty steep twords me

    Mines on an unnoticable slant toward the set, but I can notice it when I try to keep it flat.

    Not necessarily...that's something like a marching drummer who has his drum tilted to one side as he marches...only you're sitting instead of marching...

    for now, I slant mine downwards, toward me. It gives me a great feel for movement onto the toms. The slant is about 20 degrees. Who knows, though, I'm sure I'll change it along the way, as I grow in drumming.

    im still moving my drums around, my friend who has been on the kit for 8 years (not steady) but still plays them is still finding the right places to put his drums, so im guess its never ending.

    Towards me. But with my new/next kit...Im gonna flatten it at least.

    I've tried it flat, I liked that. I also tried tilted like Buddy Rich's, didn't like that. Tilted towards me more than 40 degrees, couldn't do rim-shots. Tilted at about 20-30 degree is just perfect. I have mine so that the top part of my snare (the back part.) is just above the bottom on my 10" tom height wise.

    ok i changed mine, its completly flat down, i just moved my toms so they have a 20 degree angle, so I had to change my snare position:P

    Try get above the snare more then tilt it away....

    Flat or almost so...might have a unnoticeable slant towards me....
