I bought one new in 1981 or 1982. I think it was the 900 (or 9000) series hardware circa that era ie. their top of the line. IMO, it was the best compared to many of the other brands back then. I haven't played mine in years.
This reminds me that I need to get a replacement plastic cup/holder for the bottom cymbal. I replaced a stripped out clutch a long time ago; other than that it served me very well for many years.
    What's your story?

Yeah it is an old Pearl H 900. I don't know why they discontinued this model cause it seems to have multiple purposes with someone with an open mind.

I've got some additional information on this particular hi-hat stand to disseminate:
It's missing the cymbal(s) part and appears to be a remote hi-hat stand, in fact a very, very remote one as it's positioned well beyond the visibility of any other discernable drum equipment of any type ...AND it's strategically placed between what appears to be a laundry basket and the edge of a step or possibly, a staircase, and directly adjacent to the upright post of a banister which seems to be constructed of wood. It's on carpet which is the perfect environment to flip the feet over and utilize it's spikes, but for some reason that hasn't been done. I wonder why.

I'm anxiously waiting for the story behind your inquiry ...did you just get? ...thinking about buying it? ...find it in the attic?
