I thought it might be fun to go through and find the different genres of music that we play, we can match members to their genre.

I'll start, I play jazz, especially BeBop, .

My band plays primarily alternative rock, but some of our songs have a heavy edge to them. I'm quite happy playing that style but I'd love to get into a band that plays blues/jazz or maybe a heavy metal band just for the fun of it.

I enjoy playing many different things. I love Jazz, but am incredibly bad at playing it, I can't really play metal (no double bass pedal and my footspeed is not up to par)
Most of all though I love playing anything by the Red Hot chili peppers, as well as alternative and punk.

Most players seem to "pigeon-hole" themselves into one or two musical genre's...but Im "Old School" - and I play 50s Rock, 60s Rock, Classic Rock of the mid-60s thru the 70s, Blues - both Electric Blues and the Mississippi Delta blues, Cajun Zydeco, MoTown Soul, Soft Jazz, Top 40 Country and soft Jazz.

Ive been working with a Traditional Country, Western Swing, Big Band Swing, 50s Rock and Cajun Zydeco band since 2000 and Ive put together a Classic Rock & Blues band...both bands will work on different nights...at least for the time being.

All my life I've played everything from classic rock, pop, motown, and blues.............but my favorite is 70s prog -- Yes, Crimson, Kansas, etc.

The band I joined a few weeks back plays all originals..........blues-based rock...........POWER TRIO.............largely a ZZ sound.
