thanks man. I think it will really look pretty rad with a whole set of them. The coolest thing is that my dad is a painter and so it's not costing me anything to do it, its all just scrap paint.

Cool, I'm diggin' it! Especially the tree-like pattern that the crackle made. Can't wait to see the whole kit done!

gretschfan.........doesn't look like cast hoops............what is it ?

just standard triple flanged hoops. its a pretty crummy drum, but i figured I could spruce it up a bit.

I did this by spraying the drum 3 coats of yellow and then applying a layer of black crackle paint. when the paint dries it shrinks, exposing the yellow crackles!

Very cool. What a unique finish. This is truly a one-of-a-kind as the crackle paint will never duplicate the same crackle. Nice idea and well done!

Those drums would look electrifying under a Black light. Genious idea. Can't wait to see the whole kit.
