Straight 16th notes. No triplets.
Good luck!
First off, if you don't like rap skip over this. I linked the instrumental version.

I've been learning this pattern and have wondered what the hi hat pattern is.
There's a quarter note hi hat pedal and on top of that is a 16th or 32nd note pattern in possibly triplets, or even just accents, I just don't know what to label it. I can play it on the HH but I just wonder what it is. I have the kick/tom/snare parts down already, but for now I'm just doing 8th notes on the ride.
I figure if I want to recreate this song as close as possible I need two HHs, one to do the foot pedal quarters, and another to do the 16th/32s, then fill on toms and snare etc.
Straight 16th notes. No triplets.
Good luck!
Thx. But it is accented right? Or do you think it just overlaps with the quarter HH and sounds like a triplet?
Some accents but there there aren't any triplets.
Yep, straight sixteenths and some measure of eighth notes.
No triplets that I can hear.................maybe the title is what makes you see/hear triplets?
Accent on the down beat mostly straight 16th notes like Tom said. Nothing fancy.
The only two constants I have are DW and Zildjian.
You lost me at "if you don't like rap, skip............."
