Been wanting a Pearl Icon rack for quite a while. Mainly for ease of setup and tear down. Scored one last weekend on Craigslist for 350 bucks. Came with about 9 clamps and cymbal arms as well. Got it off a drummer from a great local band. He got an endorsement and was liquidating his old stuff so to speak. Everything is in great shape with just normal scuffs and scratches. Took a few hours to get it set up for my kit but it was worth it. Will post pics soon.

Converting over to it. That's why it took so long to set up. Now with everything locked and marked I'm looking at about a 15-20 minute set up.

Love mine, but 350 is sorta high compared to other used ones. Mine was 250, same amount of clamps off ebay. Sooner or later i'd like to add a few things to it, but at the moment it's not that big a concern. Love the square bars too, no chance of clamp rolling.

Congrats on the rack Dawgkikker! It's extra work hauling it around, but it does make your footprint smaller, and it speeds up setup.

Looks Awesome dude..I have never owned a rack...it was really not around in the late 60's very eary 70's in my world..but it sure makes sense for a gigging drummer.

Ah you got the newer kind with the longer legs, mine is an older version with shorter ones. Looks great with your kit set up on it. Welcome to the rack world!

Looks great! I too have recently re-entered the rack world after 15 years. I had most of the parts already. I just needed the two main 4' bars and got them for less than $20 each. It's workable and reliable on a regular basis. I still love the tripod look, though and use it when I go to a 4 piece setup. I've accumulated enough extra hardware in 25 years that I can run 3 completely separate setups. It's amazing how long good stands last if you don't mind the beat-to-hell look from hardware cases.
