has anyone spent any time with Drumcraft kits?

Our local music store has loads of them, I've not had a chance to play one but was wondering what other realy people think of them?

    Thanks

The acrylic kit is quite nice.. seamless shells, very punchy and quite warm. The snare, is surprisingly "wet" as opposed to your typical dry acrylic sound.

The series 8 kits are all really great. The maple kits are definitely comparable to your typical higher end kit somewhere along the lines of gretsch catalina maple but I wouldn't quite put them in renown category. The lacquer finishes are well done as well.

German tech at a Chinese price point not a bad combination

I have had an Acrylic 8 for a few years now and not had any issues at all. I also got a 8" and 10" made for me. Its a real head turner and super loud.

I also had a good play on a Maple 8, that was really nice and warm but with bite.

For the price im absolutely amazed with the performance compared with the other household brands making kits in china (Mapex, Tama, Pearl etc)
