RUSH inducted R&R Hall of Fame

Jann Wenner is just trying to create controversy. If everyone who was in the hall deserved it and everyone who deserves it was in no one would be talking about the hall.

I agree with Alex who really cares about some made up hall of Fame.

That's the thing, they(RUSH) have met all the criteria for the R&R HOF. There may be people that don't care for their music, but big deal. They made an impact in the music industry, they have been around for well over 25 years(as I recall, they actually started in 1968). All I can say is, good for them.

You are right that Rush started in 1968. Neil Peart came into the picture in 1974 and this is when the band became the Rush of today. Next year will be their 40th anniversary. Looks like they will be around for at least another 10 or more .

I know what he was doing. I just hate the stones and everything they stand for. RUSH is just so classy in comparison.

We all have (different) opinions, there's no point arguing about tastes, we all like (and dislike) certain bands or artists, an open mind and respect for other opinions is simply a matter of courtesy.

My favorite Rush song is Tom Sawyer and my favorite Stones song is Sympathy For The Devil, I hope you don't have a problem with it... and you don't have to like the things I like... or the things say for that matter.

As much as this is my thought also, I guess you have to respect a career that has gone on as long as theirs...That pains me to say, I hate them that much.

It shouldn't have been that hard to figure out. Everyone else got it.

My point, again, is that the stones have been around for numerous years and have contributed much to the music industry. So has RUSH. Nothing more than that. Very simple. I was not pointing out whether they are good or bad. You did that.
