By Jessica Anderson, The Baltimore Sun
    3:30 p.m. EDT, May 21, 2013

It wasn't the average traffic stop on the Baltimore Beltway Tuesday morning.
Maryland state troopers noticed a man playing a drum kit on the shoulder of the Interstate 695 inner loop, between Windsor Mill Road and Security Boulevard, around 10:30 a.m., a spokeswoman said.

He told state police he had run out of gas and decided to set up and practice until assistance arrived. A State Highway Administration truck stopped and helped him refill his tank
The drummer was not cited and continued on his way, she said.

    Police did not identify him.

Looks like my drum teacher. He is your typical poor college student. Probably something he would do because he carries a kit with him in his SUV every where he goes.

I heard this story on NPR radio on the way in to work this morning. The announcer said the drummer received some free GAS !? Hmmmmm, not sure if that is good or not?
Most definitely. As a matter of fact, there will be "NO LIMIT"... just an unending quagmire of musical genius.

On a more serious note... I hope he had a rug. I'd love to play on the side of a highway, but I would never net my drums slide around on asphalt.

Hey, when you have a tight schedule, and you want to make sure you get your practice time in, this is what happens. I guess I have no more excuses for not practicing on very busy days!
