    There is no "best" head, only ones that will sound better or worse to your ears specifically. You may like a single ply, open sounding head, or a double ply, muffled head, with dampening rings and moongel... None of us can tell you what you're going to like the best, only your ears can.

    I'd say single ply, not too muffled. It's a lively energetic genre, so ideally you'll want your drums vibing with that pretty closely. I've always felt single ply coated does a real great job of that, and making it respond well. Not recommended for heavy hitters though.

    Just get ECII's. Lots of attack. Some sustain and resonance. Minimal overtones.
