    Default *BURP* Damn G.A.S.!

I couldn't help myself after a year of never getting comfortable and my (50 year old ) rear end being tired and sore after a couple of sets, I broke down and replaced this Gibraltar uncomfortable vinyl throne:

    with this RocnSoc Nitro throne:

Thanks to the "local musical instruments for sale" site. Best $125 I could have spent!

The haul in the last 5 weeks from "second hand" equipment:

DW 5000 accelerator single pedal new in box with soft carrying case, $100
Zildjian Sound Lab Prototype 17" Crash in Mint condition, $100
Zildjian A Custom 16" Crash without a stick mark or fingerprint on it, $100
    Roc-n-Soc Throne, $125

The price of G.A.S. in my world is WAYYY down!

You wouldn't expect that such a simple component would make such a big difference. But it sure does, doesn't it? I went from pain after a half hour to being able to sit for hours and not even realize it. Probably the most important piece of gear I have drumming wise. It was well worth it, wasn't it?

You're right. When I moved from my old house I had my drums packed up so I kept my cheap PDP throne at the practice space. I still use it but yesterday that thing was just killing my thighs and lower back. I gotta start taking my RnS to practice again. HUGE difference in comfort.

I have realized, out of all the gear that I have, a good throne is very important. Being a person with a lot of back problems, having a good throne that is comfortable makes all the difference in the world. Good and wise choice you made.
