The wife wants me to buy a bike first. I've been eyeballing a Road King now for about three years. When I do buy a new kit, I would like a Gretsch USA custom and some new Zildjian A's. But, if that doesn't happen, I'm still trying to talk late8 in to selling his Gretsch renown kit to me. I tease him about it constantly. One of these days I figure he'll cave.

Well, if ya want to talk about E-copenhagen, it exists. It's called shredded beef jerky and nicotine gum. At least, that's how I quit chewing many, many years ago.

    Thanks for the encouragement.

If ya chew, it feels kind of like chewing tobacco. I actually got the idea from the Tom Hanks movie, "A League of their own".

Nice one Markadiddle, good to hear!

Hopefully yours and long guns throwing in the tobacco will help a few others who might read it re-consider

Thanks man! It's actually been a lot easier than I thought. I wish I'd discovered e-cigs a long time ago. I would have been done with the whole nicotine habit by now.

    Congrats Mark. Stay strong bro.

As for the motorcycle, I used to own one and most definitely will again some day. Right now I've got my eyes on a BMW R 1200 GS.

What happened to the lost art of simply chewing the tobacco? No smoke to bother others, nicotine fix the same etc... Trade in your ash tray for a spitoon.

    all the best...

Good for you, Mark. I quit (cigs) cold turkey in 1995 and never looked back. You can do it. You have to change your habits a little. Like trying not to do things that reminds you of smoking, or goes hand in hand with the habit. Things like you'll have to change your avatar cause that will remind you of smoking, right? Good luck.

Hey Mark I did it. I haven't had a cigarette in 2 1/2 weeks. I got one of the better e-cigs that are refillable and rechargeable and it is working out great for me. I'm saving tons of money and hopefully someday I can put away the ecig.

Markadiddle, I have no idea how I could have missed this, but I did. Congrats to you for making a positive life change - and to your wife as well. And to Rick for letting people know about a product that is helping others break free.

Thanks pb. I have now moved on to something a bit more advanced than an e-cig. I started using what is called a PV(personal vaporizer). The tank holds a lot more of the liquid that simulates smoking. People that use these call it "vapeing" as opposed to smoking. It has no smell at all and the e-juice comes in every flavor imaginable. Last weekend, I was puffing on Mountain Dew and raspberry. Also, you can get just about any level of nicotine you want, even though nicotine is pretty much harmless. There are certain foods that contain very low doses of nicotine. My goal is to step it down to 0 and throw the whole works out the window.

Good for you man! What did you wind up buying?

I just joined another forum that is all about e-cigs. It's a huge forum and everyone on there is very, very supportive. Just google e-cigarette-forum. If you do happen to join up, I think we'll be the only drummers on there!
