ok guys. i've done several gigs with my kit now and i'm having a problem with the resonant heads on them. i think they are killing the sustain and the toms don't sound as round as i want them to. these shells have a very sweet tone. i want to take full advantage of that tone. right now i have evans resonant heads on the reso side (Evans has always let me down!!) gona run up to the store soon and replace them. i'm thinking about just getting some clear ambassadors. thats what i'm used to and i know that i can't go wrong with those. but i'm open to try different things. what are some recommendations for reso heads for these sweet drums????
Clear ambos work great!
Just got the new heads. Huge difference!! I'm in love!!! The ambassador reso heads really brings the life to these drums!!!!
Gorgeous set of drums. I'm sure they sound outstanding!
