so when i record my drums, the bass is to over powering, is there any option in this program to allow me to turn down the bass sound and let the other stuff stand out morE?

There's a bass volume in most programming software. It should take away the real heavy tones the bass is giving. Other than that, all I can suggest is to move the mic further from the bass or closer to the other drums. Hope it helps.

add an EQ to the recording, and turn down the lower frequencies. Should let the higher frequencies cut through more.

mixing desk if you use more than one mike to control them individually.

EQ is a thing with bars on it that change your frequencies how loud each frequencie plays differeing from flat responce (Which doesn happen often but is ultimate sound capturing and playback)

VST is a program that emulates rack gear so you can master your sound better.

pro tools is overrated for home studio

I recomend audobe audition (AKA Cool edit pro)

It does the exact same things. Its nothing flash but it does EVERYTHING that ya need when ya digitally record.

Audicy is too basic, Its more for people wanting to make WAV's for their flash animations.

    Which program?

If its audobe let me know what you want to know i use it all the time pretty much know it off by heart.

Its best to get some random sound sample and some headies and just listen to what all the effects do. And basic understanding of how sound works makes it alot easier to produce sound too

Stevo, I use Cool Edit Pro (aka Adobe Audition stateside) in my radio job, and once you get comfortable with it, it's probably the easiest system to use for digital audio recording (even for a dude like me who doesn't do that much digital recording--at least not yet, anyway!)

Yeah all the radiostations i have been in use it as well.
I find it so easy. If you wanna take a simple vocal track for your station or want to multitrack a song.

I havent yet seen midi used on it i know you can though?

Do you know about that bongo bro?
